An airtight buidling casing provides thermal insulation, but it does not allow the natural air exchange. This leads to increased humidity in the building with the consequent formation of condensation on cold surfaces and mold. In winter it may be necessary to provide air exchange using a controlled ventilation system with which it is possible to avoid heat loss.
